Environmental IoT Data Analysis Application and Services

Absrtact
This project aims to establish a Web-GIS platform that provides integrated environmental sensing management and decision support for the Environmental Protection Administration (EPA). The platform also offers environmental inspection functions for counties and cities that deploy sensors, as well as real-time PM2.5 data query services for the general public across Taiwan. The platform provides services and functions such as sensor information monitoring and management, public application services and queries, and information services and functions required for decision support and analysis. The project includes continuous optimization of air pollution sensor alert event algorithms and pollution source analysis functions for pollution-prone areas, integration of heterogeneous data, continuous optimization of air network data analysis automation module, improved AI models for future 12-hour AQI predictions, optimization of mobile sensing network (MoT) display platform interface and analysis function development, and enhancement of water technology Internet of Things (WIOT) platform interface and analysis function development. Utilizing cloud computing technology, the system continuously improves its performance and provides stable and complete data quality for queries and value-added services. In addition, in coordination with the EPA's environmental sensing data storage center, software tools or technologies required for smart environmental decision-making applications are introduced to keep up with related infrastructure and emerging service trends. Through machine learning, human-computer interaction, data visualization, big data computing, and other technologies, more intelligent applications are developed to assist decision analysis applications, strengthen government digital governance and smart inspection capabilities, expand environmental sensing analysis data-related public services, and make good use of the power of the public to enhance environmental governance and public service quality. This project hopes to provide the EPA with an innovative integrated environmental sensing management and environmental governance decision support platform and services through a wide range of work items, paving the way for the next stage of smart environmental governance.
